Sizing FAQs

We've gathered some of the most common questions about bandana sizing to help you make the best choice for your beloved companion. If your question isn't here, feel free to reach out!

What's the best way to measure my dog for a bandana?

The best way is by using a flexible measuring tape ribbon around the widest part of their neck. Alternatively, you can use a piece of string and a ruler, or simply measure their current collar when it's unbuckled and laid out flat.

What if my dog is between sizes or has a lot of fur?

If your dog is super fluffy, or if they are right on the edge between two sizes, we always recommend sizing up. This ensures a comfortable fit and allows the bandana to be visible over their fur, without being too tight.

What if my dog is a puppy or still growing?

For growing puppies, it's often best to select a size that gives them a little room to grow into. If they are very young, you might choose a smaller size initially and then size up as they get bigger. Always refer to our size chart with their current measurements.

How do I know if the bandana will be too tight or too loose?

A good rule of thumb is to ensure you can comfortably fit two fingers underneath the bandana once it's on your dog's neck. If you can't, it might be too tight. If it's slipping around excessively, it might be too loose

Do you offer custom sizing?

My dog's neck measurement is exactly between two sizes. What should I do?

When in doubt, it's generally safer to size up. A slightly larger bandana will be more comfortable and drape better than one that is too snug. Plus, it allows for a bit of room if your dog gains a little weight or their fur gets thicker.
